Our speaker this month is none other than the TREC President and CEO, Linda McMahon! She's coming to speak about the influences of associations on communities and legal policies! 

About Linda: 

 Linda McMahon is the President & CEO of The Real Estate Council organization. The Real Estate Council (TREC) is the largest and most influential commercial real estate organization in the State of Texas with over 2,000 members and 650-member companies. TREC focuses on Public Policy, Leadership Development and Community Investment through TREC Community Investors (a certified Community Development Financial Institution). 

Linda knows both commercial real estate and Dallas well. With three decades in banking, including 15 years with JPMorgan Chase Bank leading the Southwest Region Community Development group- a commercial real estate finance group, which specialized in complex commercial real estate transactions in housing and economic development. 

Linda is passionate about building communities. TREC created the Dallas Collaboration for Equitable Development with a $6MM investment from JPMorgan Chase. She currently serves as a Commissioner on the Dallas Area Partnership to End and Prevent Homeless; a member of the Comprehensive Land Use Committee for Forward Dallas; the South Dallas Fair Park Area Planning Committee; Dallas Thrives Board of Directors, Texas Urban Blueprint Steering Committee Member, Member of the City of Dallas Economic Development Task Force; Founding Chair of Impact Dallas Capital; Co-Chair of the Dallas Housing Task Force; Host Committee Chair of the International Economic Development Conference in Dallas 2020 and 2023; Downtown Dallas Inc. Board of Directors; Economic Opportunity Leadership Advisory Board; City of Dallas Amazon HQ2 Bid lead; CityLab High School Advisory Board; Member of the Dallas Assembly; Texas Lyceum; Honorary AIA Dallas member; Urban Land Institute Member; and Real Estate Councils of Texas member. Linda is a frequent speaker and consultant on issues surrounding neighborhood revitalization, affordable housing and economic development. 

Linda attended the University of Texas at Austin where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Government.
